Doug Caldwell is the Commercial Landscape Extension Agent in Collier County. He holds a Ph.D. in entomology, is a certified arborist, and is a Florida Certified Horticulture Professional (FCHP). He has over 20 years experience in the green industry. He can be contacted at or (239)353-4244 ext. 203.
Doug is the primary contact for all types of horticulture professionals, homeowner associations, golf course personnel, plus retail and wholesale nurseries.
Periodic training for the various pesticide license exams is offered as well as workshops to deal with
best management practices, landscape
maintenance standards such as proper pruning, landscape fertilizing and diagnosing plant problems. Some classes are
available in Spanish.
